In any case, to save money, we suggest to leave the car in Mestre and then come to Venice by train or bus. In the neighbourhood of Mestre railway station, there is a car park; another one you can find on Tronchetto island (about 20 Euro a day).

From the station Venezia Santa Lucia or from Rome square - From Rome square or the railway station Venice Santa Lucia, take the steamboat no 2 (longer way, about 30 min) or number 41 (shorter way, about 20 min) toward the Giudecca, and get off at REDENTORE stop.
